About

I turn building data into 3D apps people can use.

Digital Twins & Real-Time VisualizationCairo, Egypt

A lot of digital twins look great in the demo, and then nobody opens them again. I try to build the other kind.

I work in Unreal Engine 5, mostly on the part between the BIM model and the screen. Getting Revit/Datasmith, GIS and live building data into one scene. Keeping every asset's ID stable when the model gets updated for the fifth time. Keeping a full building fast enough that a facility manager actually uses it. Click a floor, see its energy. Follow an alarm to the asset that raised it. Play a fire drill across the building.

Background: civil engineer, Master's in BIM Management (MSUCE), 7+ years moving from BIM management into real-time 3D. Now a Senior 3D Experience Engineer, leading hands-on digital twin development. Before that, product work on city-scale twins.

On the side I build concept twins in public. The first is AURA Halo: a 47-floor concept tower, 930 twin IDs, 441 simulated sensors, all generated from one config file through Blender into UE 5.8.

A few things I've learned the hard way

  1. 01

IDs first, beauty second. If a model update breaks the data, the twin is dead, however good it looks.

  2. 02

One clear idea beats ten dashboards.

  3. 03

Label simulated data as simulated. It doesn't make people less interested. It makes the conversations better.
